2025 was a challenging and deeply growth-inducing year for me when it comes to relationships. Through both entering and leaving a relationship, and navigating all the emotions, triggers, and lessons that surfaced in the process, I realized something important: if I wanted to create healthier relationships, I needed to upgrade the way I regulated my nervous system. 

One major moment stands out. During an argument with my ex, suppressed memories of childhood sexual abuse suddenly surfaced—memories I had no conscious recollection of prior to that moment. It was as if my body had been waiting for the right emotional conditions to release them. Thankfully, with my background as a trauma and PTSD specialist, I was able to self-soothe, ground myself, and bring my system back into safety. But that experience made something undeniably clear: if I was going to continue growing in love, I needed to treat nervous system regulation as a non-negotiable part of my emotional and relational health.
