The biggest misconception people have about the Greek gods and goddesses – i.e. Aphrodite, Zeus, Hermes, Apollo, etc. – is that they were lifeless, mythological beings that the ancient Greeks foolishly believed to be real.

The spiritual people who believe otherwise, see them solely as energies, archetypes, or spirit guides they can call on, like they do with angels and Ascended Masters.

What if I told you that neither of these schools of thought got it right?

In truth, the Greek gods and goddesses are embodiments and expressions of Universal laws and functions. Rather than simply being energies within the Universe, they are the Universe.

You see, George, there’s a difference between mythology and theology. The ancient myths aren’t supposed to be taken literally. They’re allegories holding deep spiritual truths about the Greek gods, rather than accurately representing them.

My fourth book Secrets of Greek Mysticism comes out April 8th, 2024 (if you haven’t yet, you can order it here and get a FREE workshop, too).

This is the first book written by a Greek native priest of Hellenic Polytheism (that’s me! 😃), and it introduces the whole truth about ancient Greek spirituality, magic, and the gods and goddesses.

To celebrate the launch of the book, I’m doing a 6-part solo podcast series on Greek spirituality.

So, in this first episode, you’ll learn:

  • The characteristics of the gods
  • The various types of Greek gods
  • Why do we pray to the gods?
  • Do the gods have gender?
  • Are there evil gods?
  • The difference between theology and mythology
  • The distinction between cosmic and hypercosmic gods
