When I was a kid, I gladly skipped birthday parties and other social engagements to visit flower shops and garden centres. 

I loved walking among, smelling, exploring and learning about different plants. I’d ask my mum to buy me my favourite ones and I’d create mini flower gardens all around the house. 

I’d tend to them daily, and even speak and communicate with them.
